About Me

I am currently completing my 20th year of teaching Spanish at the secondary level. For the last 12 years, I have been teaching Spanish 2 and Spanish 4 at Aurora High School. For 7 of these years I was part of the School Improvement Steering Committee and had the opportunity to assist in the accreditation process for our district. In 2001, I earned my bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with an endorsement in Spanish from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.  I completed my Masters in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College. I am currently working towards a Master's Degree in School Counseling with Doane College as well. My passions, in addition to language learning and curriculum development, are spending time with God and my family, reading historical fiction, cooking, and crafting.
